Life as a single young Christian woman is rewarding, but it is also difficult at times. My story starts as young girl who was raised by two Christian parents. My father has been a pastor for the last 18 years of my life. My parents provided a strong foundation for me as child into adulthood. Even though I ventured out into the world to experience what I thought I was missing out on, I had a foundation to return to. I have reached a point in my life, where I’m seeking a relationship with God for myself. The most difficult challenge is that there are not many saved young Christians in my community and surrounding areas. Perhaps, they do exist and I just have not met their acquaintance. When your life consists of partying, drinking, and having fun you usually do not have a problem with finding others to partake in those activities.  However, when it comes to serving the Lord you will notice a difference in the type of crowd that you will attract. I am truly grateful that the word was instilled in me as a young child. Without it, it would be very difficult to survive as a Christian in today’s society.  Nevertheless, I do not let that discourage me. It often requires that extra effort to seek out other individuals who share the same interests, beliefs, and values that are based on the word of God.
